JODAIKO was one of the first all-women wadaiko ensembles in North America, debuting in 1988. JODAIKO has toured internationally in Japan, Europe, Canada, and the United States, and is comprised of members who play with or lead their own regional groups, and often tour as solo artists. Bringing a mix of traditional and contemporary pieces to the stage, JODAIKO has performed at the Powell Street Festival since 2006. In 2013 the group celebrated its 25th Anniversary.
